The Advertising minor develops the knowledge and skills needed to create effective communication strategies and tactics, targeting appropriate audiences at the right time.
In this program, you will gain an understanding of marketing, communications, radio, television, print, direct response, and new media techniques to promote products, services, and causes. Graphic design and media production skills are developed to support the execution of integrated advertising and branding.
The Advertising minor focuses on the legal and ethical aspects of advertising. Working in teams prepares students for jobs in advertising agencies, corporate and non-profit marketing departments, public relations firms, television, radio, web, and other media organizations.
