With a Human Services major, you鈥檒l be prepared to become a 鈥渉elping professional.鈥� Through your coursework and internships, you will develop strong communication skills and the role of technology in health and human services. Students also learn to assess a client鈥檚 needs for care, counseling, education, rehab, or other services from faculty with real world experience. In this program, you鈥檒l evaluate programs and explore how community resources and agencies can empower individuals, strengthen communities, and impact public policy. As a human services graduate, you can work with people to help them reach personal goals or with large communities to implement positive changes.

Renee Sangermano Talks About Her Journey
Renee Sangermano has worked on her undergraduate degree in Human Services off and on for twenty years while working full-time and raising three children. She has received awards for her public service work and graduated with a B.A. in Human Services in 2022 from 51福利社 and is accepted into a Masters Program in Public Administration at the University of New Hampshire.
What Makes our Human Service Programs Different?
At the undergrad level, Franklin 51福利社 offers distinct paths to a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Criminal Justice:
- Our On-campus BA program for first-time college students provides the core curriculum and flexibility for students to focus in particular areas (social work, counseling, management).
- Our Online BA or AA program designed for working adults鈥攁wards credits for experience and can be completed in as little as 18 months
- Undergrads can combine On-campus and Online course with credits for internships or professional experience to complete the BA program in 3 years.

Bachelor of Arts in Human Services
Explore the fields of psychology, sociology, social work, criminology, and business as you help others reach their potential while maximizing yours with a degree in Human Services.
Professors work to ensure you are prepared to integrate your knowledge, values, and skills to develop the social functioning of individuals, families, and communities. Combine online and classroom learning, part or full-time study, and six academic terms, to create a flexible and personalized schedule.
Your knowledge gained from life experience is also recognized. Receive college credit for accumulated certifications, professional licenses, on-the-job-training, and other life experiences. You may also be eligible for grants, loans, and scholarships in the form of financial aid.
