How do You Earn a Paralegal Certificate?
To earn the Paralegal Certificate, you must complete a 30-credit course of study (10 courses), which can be completed online in one year in conjunction with your bachelor鈥檚 degree. You will develop expertise in legal analysis, research, and writing, and explore specialized areas of law including torts, probate, litigation, real estate, corporate, family, and criminal law. You can begin your coursework in any of 5 terms each year.
The paralegal program culminates in a certificate and is open to anyone possessing a high school diploma, or its equivalent. All paralegal course credits are transferable to an associate or bachelor鈥檚 degree at FPU.
What Can I Do With a Paralegal Certificate?
The Paralegal Certificate also provides an excellent foundation for further education in business, law, or other fields where legal considerations are important.
