Meet the Staff Members of our Clinical Mental Health program.

 

Dr. Hannah Fryzel

Dr. Hannah Fryzel holds her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Waynesburg University. She has served in several roles at previous academic institutions, including as a professor, clinical coordinator, and program director. She is currently a member of the ACA, ACES, ASERVIC, and WVLPCA. She is a licensed professional counselor. Her clinical experience includes substance use disorders, outpatient care, incarcerated populations, and private practice. Currently, she is in private practice where she sees clients dealing with a variety of mental health and wellness concerns. Professionally, she has published and presented on a variety of topics. Her past and present topics of interest include marginalized religious groups, death positivity, the intersection of law and ethics, bodily autonomy, working with incarcerated populations, and working in rural communities.

Dr. Richard Blanchard is an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at 51福利社. He earned his PhD in Counseling from Montclair State University and has experience in mental health counseling, counselor education, and clinical supervision. His work focuses on school-based mental health, counseling children and teenagers, and helping counselors grow as professionals and leaders. Dr. Blanchard is also active in professional counseling organizations and has received awards for his work supporting children and adolescents. Through his teaching, research, and professional service, he helps prepare future counselors to support the mental health and well-being of their clients and communities.

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Chris Dasambiagio-Moore

Dr. Moore is a licensed mental health counselor and supervisor with a decade of experience in college counseling, career counseling, private practice, and addiction settings. As a counselor educator, he has served as core faculty, program director, field experience coordinator, and CACREP liaison for clinical mental health and school counseling programs. His teaching emphasizes collaboration, reflection, and experiential learning, aiming to help students connect counseling theory to their own personal and professional growth. Dr. Moore鈥檚 interests include gaming and mental health, the role of myth and fantasy in identity development, the intersection of career and mental health counseling, and collegiate behavioral health. He currently maintains a private practice in Alabama, where he provides counseling from a psychodynamic and depth psychology perspective. Outside of work, he lives in the Shoals area with his partner and is a pup-parent to three dogs, including Lia who is currently being trained to become a therapy dog.
