The H.R.1 Act & Graduate PLUS Loans Update
The H.R.1 Act & Graduate PLUS Loans Update: The H.R.1 Act (Sec. 81001) that was signed
into law on July 4, 2025, eliminates the Graduate PLUS loan program for new Graduate PLUS borrowers starting with the 2026 - 2027 financial aid year.
Current Graduate PLUS borrowers (2025 鈥� 2026 academic year) may continue to borrow
for three years or until their program of study is complete, whichever occurs first.

those in our graduate health science programs, and is working diligently on identifying
other financing options. We remain confident there will be resources available for
our students in the 2026 - 2027 academic year and beyond. Additional details will
