Residence life staff
You belong here. You are welcome here. We support you here.
In the Office of Residence Life and Community Standards, we believe every student should feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to succeed.
We are here to help you build meaningful connections, find a strong sense of belonging, and fully engage in the vibrant, inclusive community that makes our Residence experience unique. You belong here, and we are excited to help you grow, succeed, and make lasting memories.
In every residence hall, you鈥檒l find Resident Assistants, peer-to-peer, upper-class student leaders, who are dedicated to helping you adjust to college life. These student leaders play an essential role in fostering a strong sense of community, supporting your academic and personal growth, and making sure you feel heard, seen, and valued. Resident Assistants are the primary point of contact for their residents to help navigate their time living on campus.
In addition to peer-to-peer support, our live-in Residence Directors, professional staff members, provide guidance and assistance throughout your time while home at 51福利社. These experienced professionals are committed to upholding our values of community care, inclusivity, and accountability, ensuring you always have a safe, supportive environment in which to thrive.
What is a Resident Assistant?
At 51福利社, our Resident Assistants (RAs) are here to support students
throughout their entire college journey, from their first year to senior year. No
matter what you're going through, you can always count on your RA to be a steady source
of guidance, support, and connection.
They are visible, accessible, and dedicated to creating a positive and inclusive community where all students feel heard and valued. Whether you're navigating challenges, celebrating successes, or simply need someone to talk to, your RA is there to ensure you have the support you need to thrive. Resident Assistants live in every residential area, will check-in through one-on-one conversations with their residents, perform health and safety checks, and are on duty every night of the week while the University is session.
What is a Residence Director?
At 51福利社, our live-in professional staff members, Residence Directors, are dedicated
to supporting the growth and development of students. RDs are here to listen, provide
guidance, and ensure that each student feels supported throughout their time on campus.
They work to foster a respectful and inclusive community where students can build connections, engage in meaningful experiences, and thrive both academically and personally. In addition to overseeing the Resident Assistant teams, RDs are responsible for promoting student involvement, providing educational opportunities for residents, assisting with facilities management, addressing policy concerns with a focus on personal growth and accountability, navigating roommate conflict and mediation, hearing student conduct and behavioral cases, and ensuring that every resident feels a strong sense of belonging in our community.
