Salome Brooks, Ph.D., is the Program Director and an Associate Professor of our Physical
Therapy department. She is a dedicated educator bringing extensive experience and
leadership in physical therapy education. Dr. Brooks' academic and professional focus
supports the advancement of healthcare education, emphasizing practical, patient-centered
approaches that prepare students for dynamic roles in the physical therapy field.

Dr. Olga L. M. McSorley serves as the Director of Clinical Education and an Assistant
Professor at 51福利社's College of Health & Natural Sciences. She
earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Boston University. Currently, she
is pursuing an Ed.D. in Leadership and Learning at Rivier University. Dr. McSorley's
research interests focus on clinical education, professional development, and aquatic
physical therapy. She is an active member of several professional organizations, such
as the American Physical Therapy Association and the New England Consortium of Clinical
Educators, where she serves as Treasurer. Dr. McSorley has contributed to her field
through numerous conference presentations, including topics like aquatic therapy for
patients with lower-limb amputation and innovative teaching methods in physical therapy
education.

Theresa O鈥橬eil is an Assistant Professor in the DPT-NH program and an APTA Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist. She serves as a clinical resource specialist in vestibular and post-concussion rehabilitation for Beth Israel Lahey Health in Woburn, Massachusetts, integrating advanced clinical expertise with academic scholarship in health professions education.
Dr. O鈥橬eil鈥檚 scholarly work centers on educational research in health professions education, with emphasis on learning theory, cognitive science, and Master Adaptive Learning, and their application to student engagement and academic success. Her research examines the relationship between instructional design, learner variability, and performance outcomes in Doctor of Physical Therapy education. She is committed to implementing evidence-based pedagogical strategies that cultivate metacognition, self-regulated learning, adaptive expertise, and long-term professional competence. Her work advances inclusive, learner-centered educational environments grounded in contemporary educational science.
She presents nationally at the APTA Combined Sections Meeting and regionally at APTA New Hampshire and Massachusetts Annual Conferences. She has also presented at the New Jersey Brain Alliance Conference on concussion, contributing to interdisciplinary scholarship in neurologic and orthopaedic rehabilitation.
Dr. O鈥橬eil serves as an item writer for the APTA Orthopaedic Specialist Certification through the Specialization Academy of Content Experts, supporting the psychometric rigor and content validity of national specialty certification standards.
A residency-trained physical therapist in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, Dr. O鈥橬eil is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT). She holds a Graduate Certificate in Anatomy from Hardin-Simmons University and is a member of the American Association for Anatomy. Her integrated background in advanced manual therapy, anatomy, and educational research reflects her commitment to bridging foundational science, clinical excellence, and innovative pedagogy in the preparation of adaptive, evidence-informed physical therapists.
