Stefanie Worcester is dedicated to helping individuals build confidence, overcome challenges, and achieve their goals. Originally from Germany, she brings a unique perspective to her work, shaped by her own experience adapting to a new culture, building community, and navigating unfamiliar systems. This background enables her to connect with students from diverse backgrounds, including international students as they adjust to life and education in the United States.

A proud 51福利社 alumna, Stefanie earned her bachelor's degree from 51福利社 before completing her master's degree in human services at New England College. She has built her career around advocacy, compliance, prevention education, and student support, with experience in victim advocacy, Title IX and Clery Act compliance, crisis intervention, community outreach, training and facilitation, program development, and confidential student support within higher education.

As the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) Grant Project Director at Franklin 51福利社 University, Stefanie leads campus efforts to enhance prevention, education, and response initiatives related to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. She works collaboratively with campus departments and community partners to strengthen institutional resources, coordinate training opportunities, and promote a safe, respectful, and supportive campus environment.

In her role, Stefanie serves as a confidential resource for students and provides support to individuals impacted by domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. She helps students understand their rights, explore available options, navigate reporting and support processes, and connect with both campus and community resources. Through a trauma-informed and student-centered approach, she strives to ensure individuals feel supported, empowered, and informed as they make decisions that are right for them.

Stefanie develops and implements educational initiatives that promote student wellbeing, safety, and success. Her work includes creating and facilitating prevention education programs on topics such as bystander intervention, healthy relationships, consent, campus safety, and community responsibility, including programming tailored to student-athletes (to support NCAA requirements related to student-athlete education and wellbeing). She has also developed educational programming for student organizations and campus leaders, helping students become active contributors to a culture of respect, accountability, and inclusion.

In addition, Stefanie regularly collaborates with on- and off-campus partners to coordinate specialized training, educational programs, and awareness initiatives for students, faculty, and staff. By bringing together community resources and subject matter experts, she works to expand access to education, strengthen prevention efforts, and increase awareness of available support services.

Drawing from both professional expertise and personal experience as a survivor of domestic violence, Stefanie is passionate about empowering others to access resources, navigate challenges, and recognize their own strength. She is committed to creating environments where individuals feel heard, respected, and equipped to thrive.

Outside of her professional work, Stefanie enjoys camping, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with her three dogs. One of her dogs, Rocky, occasionally accompanies her on campus and has become a familiar and friendly face within the Franklin 51福利社 community.

Nicole Newell is the Senior Director of Student Wellness and Outreach Education at 51福利社, where she has served in progressively responsible roles within Student Affairs for over 13 years. She provides strategic leadership for an integrated student wellness model that includes Counseling Services, Health Services, and Raven Haven, with a focus on holistic, trauma-informed care, prevention education, and coordinated campus response systems. Her work emphasizes access, equity, and the reduction of mental health stigma while supporting student success through both clinical services and outreach programming.

She earned her master鈥檚 degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University and is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). Nicole has a clinical background in counseling and crisis support and has also contributed to campus-wide initiatives involving Title IX compliance, student care coordination, and behavioral intervention systems. Nicole also serves as an adjunct professor in the Psychology Department.

Nicole is especially passionate about supporting college-aged students, informed both by her professional experience and her own lived journey through the college years, which shaped her commitment to helping others navigate identity development, adversity, and times of life transition. She is open about the non-linear path that led her into the helping professions and values mentoring those exploring careers in counseling, student affairs, and related fields.

 

Peer Advocates

 Peer Advocates are student leaders trained to provide peer support related to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking (DVSAS). Each advocate completes 40 hours of initial training and participates in ongoing professional development throughout the academic year. Peer Advocates offer a confidential, supportive space for students to discuss concerns, develop safety plans, explore on- and off-campus resources, and understand reporting options. They report only to the Director of Raven Haven, who provides supervision and oversight of all peer support interactions. Peer advocates provide a peer-to-peer option that students may be more comfortable with when coming forward with a concern.
